NO and NC are abbreviations for Normally Open and Normally Closed, respectively.
Used to describe the state of the contactor contacts when the coil is de-energized.
The NO contacts are open when the coil is not powered and close when the coil is powered.
The normally closed contacts are closed when the coil is de-energized and open when the coil is energized.
