What Happens When You Touch A Busbar?
When installing network cables, it is important to maintain a minimum distance of **200mm(6 inches)** between power and data cables.
If cables must cross, they must cross perpendicularly, not parallel¹.
The minimum distance between the unshielded power supply and the unshielded UTP cable is **200 mm**.
This reduces to **50 mm** for a shielded data cable and only **30 mm** for a shielded power cable³. Connectix recommends routing power and data cables with a spacing of **200mm** wherever possible.
A distance of **600 mm** must be maintained between data cables and three-phase cables.
